I don't know about you but I know that I would prefer not to have to pay thousands of dollars in call costs and roaming charges just to keep my business afloat whilst I am overseas or to keep in touch with family and friends whilst I am away. A phone that would have cost you at least $1000 a couple of years ago can be got for a couple of hundred dollars now. That way, whenever you are connected to a WiFI network you can make free Skype to Skype calls to friends, family and work colleagues back home without the calls costing anything.
